Please help us fund a new Foodbank van so we can support even more people in need
More people than ever in Woking are struggling to afford food, and this situation will only become worse as the current cost of living crisis intensifies.
We want to provide an even more flexible and inclusive service. We are currently developing the concept of a “mobile pantry”, which will bring desperately needed food directly to where people are – for example, homes, schools, and community/social centres. We hope to make it possible for many more people every week to access food.
Our beloved van has served us well, but is now 17 years old and too small for our needs. We are overloading it regularly, and this is not doing our fragile foodstuffs (or the suspension!) any good. We have located a good quality secondhand, large electric van and are now raising funds to purchase it.
